Tell us about your 2005 Child Abuse Prevention Month observance. It's very important that we get feedback from the individuals and groups who use our materials. Fill out and send the blue survey sheet from your packet or click here to download a new one. If you have questions, please contact mail@pcav.org.

In Virginia, the blue ribbon is a symbol of the need for everyone to be the best they can be when it comes to the well-being of children. Our blue ribbon campaign sends a positive message, for instance "Be a blue ribbon family" or "Make yours a blue ribbon community." The blue ribbon campaign is a memorial to the children who have been touched by abuse and neglect, but it also reminds us that everyone has a job to do to prevent the maltreatment of children. A complete description of the Blue Ribbon Campaign can be downloaded below.

Blue ribbons are often distributed attached to bookmarks, which can be copied from an original that can be downloaded below. Some organizations also distribute ribbons to be tied on car antennas or used as bows for door or window decorations. A dark royal blue color ribbon is usually used. For use with bookmarks, a 1/2" or 5/8" width cut into 7" segments works very well.
